Help Problem in 2.29.405.5 update

Hi everyone, I am an unbranded Desire user & have never rooted the phone.

I am on 2.29.405.2 since a long time now.

Sometime back I got an OTA for installing 2.29.405.5, I tried updating it but always get an error stating " Error saving update - An error occured while saving the system update to your SD card. The download process cannot be completed. Please replace your SD card and check for updates again in Settings, under About phone."

Please someone let me know why is this problem as my SD card seems to be working fine have over 2GB free on it. I have music on my SD card which I am able to access & am able to add new music also to the SD card.

I also have 34.77MB free on my internal phone storage, so I just can't understand what is the problem as this update is also only for around 5MB.

Pls let me know what is the problem

Have you tried another MicroSD card just to be sure ?

I can try with another microSD card, was wondering why is it happening with this SD card of mine, which is otherwise working fine.

Moreso I will have buy another SD card as I dont have a spare one.

Also was wondering what is the difference between this update & the version which I have on my phone. I tried to search for a changelog but couldn't locate one.

Pls help...
