Problem inputting text into my DHD

Firstly before being rude and going right into my problem, Hello I'm new here and think it's a brilliant forum and I have had a quick search to see if this has been answered before but I couldn't see it, now to my problem!

I got a DHD about a week ago and love it, took a bit of getting used to with the battery but managed to get a decent level of usage out of it but now I'm having a problem when entering text. This isn't just when sending text messages its anything that requires text. When I push a letter it shows very briefly (maybe half a second) then deletes it and the cursor returns to the original starting position. It's like the delete part is stuck down. Very annoying.

I was out at the pub last night and think theres a chance Ive maybe done something after a few beers. Problem is I have tried settings etc but can't seem to fix it. I called Orange and they werent very good, they offered me a new handset or to try master reset which I really dont want to do as Ive only just got it to my requirements and don't fancy having to start all over again.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Have a look around the market. You can get some pretty good replacement keyboard apps, and some with bigger keys which may help your accuracy problem.

I used to have a great one, but I can't remember what it was called! Had brilliant big querty keys

The problem is though that I wont be able to even search on the marketplace. Anything being entered deletes automatically even when pasted onto it.

Ah! Sorry, I misunderstood your problem. I thought you just had fat fingers!!

Send it back as faulty. Don't tell Orange you "might have done something whilst in the pub"

You could search the market on your desktop via HTC Sense?

Try reseting your phone, maybe it'd just a temporary glitch and will hopefully be resolved after a quick "hold down of the power button" reset
