Root Problem installing CWM

SO I downloaded and extracted the CWM files. ADB and fastboot ran and the dos screen popped up disappeared right away. However, the recovery-install-windows file won't run properly. The dos screen pops up and it says "waiting for device". I also noticed the file is a .bat not .exe like the other 2 files.
Is this something wrong with my laptop??

Nevermind. I didn't have the driver installed. All is well now.

The files are all correct but when it says "waiting for device" you need to update the drivers. There are a few links around the forum with the drivers.
