Help Problem Installing Droid X Keyboard

Perhaps there is a certain spot you have to actually place the .APK into. Perhaps a certain root directory? I doubt I'm being helpful but, Try to download Skyfire and re-download the .APK. Did you put it into your SD card root directory? Not a side file? Do you try to reboot your phone after you download the keyboard?
 
I'm not familiar with this keyboard, but since it is called the multi touch keyboard, and this phone does not support multi touch, could it just not be compatible? When you figure it out, please let us know, to help others with the same problem.

Thats a great point! Did not realize that the specific keyboard you wanted was a multi-touch keyboard...

Do you have to be rooted to do this because my phone isn't rooted. Also, I've been downloading the file via Skyfire and have tried rebooting the phone after downloading the keyboard.

You do have to be rooted to go into your phones root directory as I'd stated (I think, To modify it you do for sure) but, Not to put the file into your SD card root. Though rooted/not rooted I think the point of our phone not being able to use multi-touch might be the sole reason for this keyboard to not work.

Glad to hear it! I think I'm the only person I know who likes the default keyboard. I guess I'll just go ahead and admit I've got small hands. (No that's not an indication of something else X.x)

It's bad enough getting hit in the E-mail with it, Much less in the face. I can only imagine just how heavy some of these people are and how much it would hurt for one of them to fly into my face. (Yes, I'm playing cute and innocent on this one. I've got my "Play dumb" card still.) LOL.
