Help Problem Noticed Within TuneIn

Not sure if its a Note issue, an app issue or a Me issue, but was out today with my new Note, listening to a radio station using the TuneIn app and my TMobile 3g connection. Every time the phone locked itself to the blank screen, the radio player would stop. I think its because the 3g connection is being dropped, as indicated by the fact that unclocking again would prompt the connection to come back on.

Is this standard practice, or can I change this behaviour somehow?

Do you use any battery saver (Juice defender)?? This stops the network when on lock mode???
