Help Problem Playing Movies

I'm having trouble getting movies to play on my Evo. I FINALLY came across one that will play in the gallery.

Now can someone tell me why this won't work? The image for the movie correctly shows up in gallery but when I click on it, it says Sorry, this video cannot be played:

I'm trying to figure out what settings actually work! What is it about this second movie that it won't play?

Just for grins - try the Meridian media player, free in the Market, for audio _and_ those movies and report back.

Update: Opening the 2nd video in RockPlayer, it will play the video but it is EXTREMELY choppy and unable to be watched. File seems corrupt (even though plays fine on computer)

I also tried renaming the 2nd movie to .m4v like the first one which works, but that did not do it either.

Meridian gave the same error as the gallery, but all of my other media worked fine in it

I don't use handbrake, I've used Squared 5 - MPEG Streamclip video converter for Mac and Windows for years (just tossing that out there).

I use that and just ensure that anything I've transcoded is H.264 (equivalent of MPEG4 Part 10) - and I'm not sure how that will change anything for you, because your video portion is already tagged AVC.

But what will change is that your .mp4 file - while it contains the right idea - is a different _container type_ -- and when tossing about formats, it's really a combo of container + codecs, so renaming that MPEG4 Part 14-type file to the MPEG4 Part 10-type file name isn't fooling anything.

Thanks for the tip. Was having a terrible time getting a converted video to work on my phone. Only problem with Squared 5 is it won't convert .flv so I have to use a two step process. Any suggestions for that?
