Help Problem registering yahoo email

Hi there,

I just got my Desire Z and been having good time with it. I have registered all my email addresses such as Gmail and Hotmail but I cant seem to register Yahoo mail..it says cant verify username and password. I've done this many times and I'm sure of my username and password..anyone can help me over here..thanks..

I think some people have problems using yahoo with the default email apps. You could try the yahoo app, or combine all your emails with k9 mail.

Not sure if you have seen the information below, if you havent, then try it.

-Go to "Mail", select "New Account"
-select "Other (POP3/IMAP)"
-click "Manual Setup"

YOU WILL SEE "INCOMING SETTINGS" AT THE TOP
-in "Protocol", select "IMAP"
-in "email address", key in your yahoo email address in full
-in "username", key in your yahoo email address in full
-in "password", key in your email password
-in "POP server", key in "imap.mail.yahoo.com"
-in "security type", select "SSL"
-in "server port", key in 993

CLICK NEXT YOU WILL COME TO "OUTGOING SETTING"

-Click "login required"
-in "username", key in your yahoo email address in full
-in "password", key in your email password
-in "SMTP server", key in "smtp.mail.yahoo.com"
-in "security type", select "SSL"
-in "server port", key in 465

Click NEXT and you should be able to add your yahoo account in your push mail.
