Root Problem Removing Bloatware

XLS125

Newbie
I rooted my Fascinate today, mainly for the purpose of removing Verizon's Bloatware, but I cannot seem to do that. I go through all of the steps, Root Explorer-system-apps-rename as .bak, but whenever i exit it always reverts the apps back to their original names. Also when I try to move them nothing happens. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thank you

Are you on dj05? I remember bloatware was a pita. To kill on stock dj05 and couldn't be done in re but had to be removed with adb... .the roms take care of this for you though

Hey, thanks for your help guys. I tried some more things and figured out that I cannot edit the system folder l. I cannot paste or add new folders or anything. Anyone know why this is? Thanks again.
