Root Problem Rooting

I had rooted my DX2 before but had to sbf back to 2.3.4 for a certain reason. When I rooted the first time I used Pete's on click root so I tried it again the second time I wanted to root this same phone. I get to the third step and it gives me an error on step 3 saying "Error: ADB could not be granted root access via local.promp method" Anyone know how to fix this?

I have done it up untill tonight, updating the Cyanogen ROM. Make sure you follow all the steps. Most of the times individuals skip downloading the driver, putting the phone in debugging mode or putting the phone in charge only mode.
