Help Problem starting up

I recently took out my micro sd card because the phone wasn't reading it. I tried it on another phone and it also didn't work there. The problem started when I turned the phone on. It got stuck on the splash screen. Only way to stop it was taking out the battery. I tried a restore and it got me as far as the first setup wizard page and then it jumped back to the same splash screen. Any help would be great.
 
Hello and welcome to the forums. I see your having a problem with a android device . Now you say the phone won't boot up .was or is this device rooted or modded in anyway shape or form.next what size sd card was it and did the sd card say anything such as DAMAGED SD CARD
 
No, I have no idea how to mod or root the phone. The card was 4gb and it never told me anything that it was damaged or an error of any kind. I had taken it out and when I turned the phone back on it got stuck.
 
Put the sd card into the adapter and put the adapter into your pc/laptop and if it reads and a pop up ask for a fix or repair . Do that and try it in another device . Don't erase or delete anything just fix
 
Even in the pc/laptop did you try to format . Do you have a camera put card in camera and try to formate .
 
It takes a minute for the adapter drivers to get into the computer . Check to see if it makes noise when you put card into computer
 
no luck. not sure what might have happened to the card but its not working anywhere else either. My problem is my phone not starting up though, much cheaper to buy another card.

Now what you want to do is download all usb device drivers for this to work .when done with the drivers you want to first check for UPDATES TO THE DEVICE. If not updates you want to leave the device plugged to the usb . Go to the top right corner the drop down box .select UPDATE RECOVERY .this will take 45-50 minutes please don't unplug device while updates are taken place . Post back if any other problems
 
I'm sorry, I dont think I understand what you' re asking. The PC is not reading the sd card and if I try to connect the phone I hear the sound of it connecting and everything is installed on the computer but I can not do anything because its stuck on that screen and there is no way around it. The farthest I can get it the setup wizard but after advancing a little in setting up the phone it goes back to the same splash screen from the beginning.
 
If you would just try the link and do the update recovery this will put your device back to the start point when you took it out the box .
 
Sorry I had not read your post with the link, on that link there's only one item to download under software update. It is called USB Driver for Windows and I have installed it. I also see something under "OSP" should I download that also?
 
I see it but I cant get to anything on the phone. It is stuck on one screen. I'm sorry I don't understand what you're asking for..I'm completely lost. Thanks for the help. There is no way for me to access and follow the instructions under the jelly bean update steps.


..Only time I got it to go past was when I did a reset but even then on the first setup page as soon as I clicked next it took me back to that same screen I was stuck on.

Yea, that's what I had done. It will takes me as far as the first setup page then jump to that very same screen I posted in my previous post after I select next.
 
What root method did you use what's the name . If you didn't try motochopper is the best try to root again
 
"Download mode" should only happen if you are pressing otherbuttons, such as volume up or volume down, while pressing on the power button. Remove the battery and put it back in, then press just the power button.
