Root Problem that needs help please

Oneman191

I have a Thunderbolt that i rooted using revolutionary rooting and had Bamf flashed using Rom Manager.

last night my girlfriend was messing with it and did a factory reset on my phone.

now it wont boot up all the away, and keeps flashing "HTC quietly rooted" over and over and over, i can get to the recovery and the HBOOT. anyone know why i cant boot all the way up?

Sounds to me like you still have the "PG05IMG" file on your sdcard.

In recovery you should be able to enable USB Mass Storage, or something long those lines, so you can connect via USB to your PC.

Once you do that you need to delete that file from the sdcard.

if that doesnt work u might have to get an SD card reader and remove it from your phone-->then connect to PC and delete if its still on there. or.... recover backup from SD if u still have one

I have left my pg05img on my SD card for months and never had a problem factory resetting my phone. It boots right up. Its a known fact that rom manager causes so many problems that one cannot count. Plus he said he can get in to recovery so the pg05img file isn't on his card.

To the op download your rom on your computer. Then copy the zip to your SD card and place back in to the phone. Boot in to recovery and wipe data, cache, ans davlic or how ever you spell it. Then flash your rom you placed in the SD card and this should let your phone boot up normally.

Then get rid of rom manager as its more headaches than its worth.
