Problem turning off phone.

Hey guys, weird problem I've had on about 5 or 6 different ROMs. I'm on extend ROM ( most recent version) and whenever i turn off my phone and charge it, about 30 minutes later I'll go to turn it on and its on. So something turns it on somehow, or even though it says its powering off, it actually just goes into a deep sleep or something. Again, this is not ROM specific. Although it seems to be AOSP specific. I've had it happen a lot. Has anyone experienced this? If so, how did you fix it?

Did the phone ever get wet? A few months back I spilled beer on mine, after that every time I powered it off it would automatically turn right back on. I had to pull the battery out to get it to turn off. It did that for about a week and now it stays off when I shut down until I turn it back on. I guess it took a week to dry out completely? Idk

Well it happened on 6 different AOSP roms and until yesterday never happened on a TW rom. Then I flashed the new Jellyverse rom, set it all up and turned it off. Sure enough, when I woke up it was on. So I turned it off again, and 3 minutes later it was back on.

that sounds like its a problem with power button. did you try first suggestion and pull the battery. i think it needs to be sent in for repair

I know I'm not having that issue, though I hardly ever turn the phone off. I am on stock rooted GB27 with the recovery kernel.

yeah code i followed your lead and came to the stock. ill try kolbridge in a while. this is very very good for a stock rom
