Help Problem Using Samsung's Froyo Update Tool

I have two Samsung Epic 4Gs running DK28. Yesterday I used the Samsung Update Tool , followed the steps and the installation worked fine for my first phone. Today I tried updating my second phone but now it gets stuck at the step where it asks you to plug the phone in. In the bottom left it says "detect port..." while in the bottom right it says disconnected. I tried removing the drives unless I missed a few. Any solution? thanks.

Now if I keep the phone plugged in it will say usb not recognized but nothing else will change.

try another usb port and/or another not epic cable. the stock cables are known to cause this issue more then drivers as time goes on. also could try reinstalling drivers if either the above fails to resolve your issue.

Fixed. Tried 3 different sets of drives until I found one that worked. I wound up using Odin and a EB13 stock rom.
