Help Problem with 3g and sirius app

I recently downloaded the sirius app. it seems to work fine until my screen times out then I lose 3g.

if I set my screen time to 30 minutes then it works fine because I never lose my signal, but it kills my battery.

What a pain in the ass!!

Is there a setting that will maintain a strong signal while my screen is off?

Under "accounts and sync" > "general sync settings", there is a setting for background data...is that checked? I'm not sure, but maybe that could be your problem.

edit: just checked this with Pandora, turned background data off and locked the phone and kept playing...so maybe not.

There is a confirmed setting error that can be fixed OTA by Sprint. I called tech support last night and the guy who answered didn't know about the fix or the problem.. I ensured him that they was a problem with the http proxy settings and with that he escalated the call to Sr techs who fixed the problem in two seconds on both of my phones.

This app now works on both wifi and 3 or 4g. The fix supposedly helps with other streaming problems.

What firmware version are you running? I don't have this issue with the SiriusXM app on EB01.
