Root Problem with accounts and sync

Trying to take some of the bloatware off of my HTC evo, but whenever i delete apps and reboot go to settings and try to bring up Accounts & Sync I get an error saying The application Accounts & Sync has stopped unexpectedly. What apps are needed for this to work, and what apps can i not delete. Thanks.

I have the same problem.. (Or i think i did).. I went into Account and Sync and got "Force Close" error. I was like "crap" and thought to myself, might as well start over again, so I went into recovery mode, Wipe the Factor and Cache (once) and said, I wonder what would happen if i reboot. I rebooted and everything started again with all my Apps cleared but including the bloatware i removed and everything was working correctly again..

Try putting back Stock - I think thats the culprit

Stock and News can be tricky, I hear.

Seems that if you delete any of the apps that use sync, stock.apk, news.apk...that the Accounts & Sync setting menu won't come up and you will get the error and have to force it closed.

So you clicked on 'wipe data/factory reset'?
