Help Problem with all apps menu

I recently updated my HTC wildfire to android 2.2, and its working fine apart from everytime i go to the menu, it goes right up to the top, it sounds stupid, but its really irritating! any ideas on how to fix it?
 
it doesn't bother me ( it does when I accidentally close it )
you should have installed a custom rom they are far better than stock :-)
 
same thing happens in a custom rom, if you put apps into list mode, when you scroll there is a tab that appears on right hand side, which if you scroll with that takes you through apps alphabetically. speeds thing up a bit:)
