Help problem with apps and display?...help

hey everyone just got a motorola milestone and so far so good.
i have one issue i noticed is that one i open apps or games its shows but its not like full screen like it should be...?

i dont know if anyone has had this issue before but my display settings and everything are find i even reset the phone but when i open apps again it still does not look full screen like how it should be...

help/advice.??

what kind of apps ? or games?

i know some of them dont really support the resolution on the milestone. take for example 'nba game time lite' the words are tiny as hell.
