Root problem with backing up using Rom manager

Hey guys. I just got my Samsung Vibrant, updated it to 2.2, and rooted it using super one click method. In ROM Manager, I click on Reboot to Recovery and it does so - writing in blue font appears after some loading up. At the top it says Android system recovery <3e>. I read that you had to click on reinstall packages to get to the clockwork recovery.

When I click reinstall packages, some yellow writing appears but stops with some red. It says:
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.

Can someone please help me? This is my first time messing around with this and all the stuff I have looked up online that seems to pertain to this honestly seems quite overwhelming as there are so many different methods for different versions (2.1, 2.2, 2.2.1...etc) along with the kernel and lag stuff. I'm just trying to take it one step at a time and feel as I go through each process, I will gain a better understanding of what I am doing, but I just don't know how to fix this problem I got. Please some one help me out! Thanks!

Thank you so much for your help. Greatly appreciated.

I did as the thread you had sent me indicated with success. Now it goes further when I click reinstall packages. Everything moves fast by the way. At the end it says something like "install clockwork..." and a status bar appears but before it progresses, the phone restarts and goes back into recovery. Im trying to look through the post you have given me and the xda-developers post it links to but I have nothing so far.
