Help Problem with bluetooth integration in car

Hello there, I'm new to the forum and android for that matter. I'm having trouble getting my inc2 to work correctly with the bluetooth integration in my car. I got it to pair and connect. I can also place calls and receive calls through the car speakers. The problem is, whoever is on the other line doesn't receive any audio from me. I can hear them fine but it's like the microphone on my phone/car microphone is on mute. I don't know if anyone else has had any issues like this but I was really hoping that I could get some help on this.

This issue is also happening with my platronics bluetooth device. It pairs fine and seems connected. Will receive phone calls but once I answer the call, the person on the other line cannot hear anything i say. One strategy that seems to fix it is I switch the phone from bluetooth to phone speakers and back to bluetooth, it seems to resolve the issue but, obviously, I shouldn't have to go through that ordeal to have it working properly. Is there some setting I need to change or whatever to make it so the audio works properly right away? It certainly seems to be phone related.
