Help problem with boot

Today my phone was working perfectly then later in the day my phone died ( no battery) when i connected it to my charger it turned on and did the whole intro screen but then after it says Samsung and metro it goes back to the Samsung screen and stays there and never changes please help.

pull battery out than push and hold the power button for 15 seconds, than put battery back in and connect the charger and try turning it on, if all fails, it's time for a replacement.
