Root Problem with computer not recognizing phone

JamOnIt

Newbie
So I'm rooted and have the Samsung drivers installed. I have flashed CM7, but am having major problems with it, so need to revert back to stock. Here's the problem...I need to use Odin, but for some reason my computer has stopped recognizing my phone when I plug it into USB. It says DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED.

I've tried uninstalling the Samsung USB drivers and reinstalling them. No dice. I'm kind of stuck now, since I when I boot into recovery, I see the normal options to wipe data, install zip, etc, but none of the buttons work to select an option. They just dim the screen and show the Rom Manager hat.

Any suggestions? Am I totally screwed?

It is suggested on many sites, xda, rootzwiki, and others to change to Nexus drivers while using CM7 or MIUI. But hey, to each his own.

I wasnt doubting, I mean you are a senior poster and I have gotten much good advice from you. I was just saying I never changed and didnt have a problem...I had other problems with CM7 making it more of a pain than a help and have switched to JT's Vanilla Rom. I actually had huge problems on CommRom with my computer not recognizing it. There were several times I had to reinstall drivers to get the phone recognized.
