ok so i am helpign my friend root his droid x. But, i am having some trouble with the recovery... First off i was able to get it rooted and SU is installed and tested the root and all them i installed the droid x bootstrap recovery and it didnt work so i read the droid 2 one works better, so i installed that. Bingo was able to get into clockwork. Now, i get into recovery but everytime i choose any option in the recovery screen i get a black screen and thats it doesnt change at all just stays at that screen. What is it im missing?

hit your back button and go back into that same screen, try other buttons, like the search button, it may or may not work, it could be the version of d2 bootstrapper you got...

well thats the first thing i do when rooting is turn usb debugging on so using the droid x bootstrap all i got was a black screen where (changing nothing else but the app) using the droid 2 bootstrap got it to recovery i didnt try and use any other buttons but i will try next time i am with him and get a hold of his phone. My concern is i can get into recovery just cant do anything cuz just goes to a black screen after i try and choose something...
