problem with dual accounts and new market

Thus question may have been asked and answered but I can't sort out all the old post about changing your logon account with old market that come up in the search.

My problem is that I have two gmail accounts. One is personal, the other is university issued. Prior to the market update only my personal account was used (as it was the account first setup), but now the new market supports multiple accounts and switching. How wonderful one might think ... but not necessarily so. In my case this results in my university gmail being added to the list of possible accounts to use in the market. This would not be a problem except that for some reason the university email has become the default for the market. This had led to me inadvertently installing a number of apps under the wrong account. Further more, even when I change the account used in the market it reverts to the university gmail at some random time. It will sometimes do it while the app is still open other times I can restart the phone and it won't have revert ... but at some point it will revert to the wrong account without asking.

Anyone know how to remove an account from market without removing the gmail sync associated with it ... or alternatively how to select a default account from market rather than having it decide for me?

I had this exact problem too.

Once you manage to switch to the correct account, go to the Market settings and somewhere there is an option to set a pin code to secure the settings (can't remember where exactly and don't have my phone with me to check Im afraid). I did this and ever since the Market has always defaulted to my correct account.

Annoyingly tho, if I click on the 'update apps' notification in my notification bar it always brings up the wrong account again.
