Help Problem with Gmail syncing

Hi,
I haven't even had my G2x for a week and the Gmail app has stopped notifying that I have new emails.
The first couple days were fine; I received notification at the arrival of every new email. Now, nothing. I was only able to see the new emails after I opened the Gmail app, hit refresh, nothing, then go back to home screen, go back in, hit refresh and then suddenly the emails appear. They're emails that were received throughout the past 12 hours.
I really really want to be notified instantly of every incoming email. How can I make sure that happens?

I was having this problem on 1 of my 2 gmail accounts. I did 2 things 1st I went into account sync settings & made sure that it was checked to sync that particular gmail account. It wasn't. Then I went to manage applications selected gmail & hit clear data. After I cleared the data I reboot my G2x. The help section of gmail told new to do that & it worked for me. Hope that helps, let me know
 
Your very welcome. I had to clear data & reboot because something wasn't synching right. It would say I have a new email but it wouldn't be able to be seen in the inbox. I had to go to all mail
