Help Problem with making/receving calls

Since I have updated this past Wednesday (the 24th)... I have not had any silent incoming or outgoing calls. I'm very happy (now)... and will be sticking with the Photon. :)

I had the same issue since the first day I purchased the MoPho. I took it in and told the Sprint reps about the issue, and they claimed ignorance of the problem. They said they've never heard of that problem for this device. (I have no doubt this was a lie. They were obviously instructed to claim ignorance of this problem. Which, if you look into it, it's widespread. Affecting not just the Photon, but other Motorola devices released in June.)

Anyhow, they messed with some settings. Probably reset the user and so forth. Later that day I still experienced the same issue. No audio during calls. Have to reboot. So I took it back the next day. A different rep also said he has never heard of that issue. They just replaced the phone.

Make sure you watch them, because these reps can be morons. The guy forgot to put in my 32GB micro sd card into the new replacement. I only noticed because when I left the store, the phone randomly shut off, and wouldn't turn back on. I had to remove the cover - when I noticed my sd card was missing. Upon turning the phone back on, it was behaving sluggishly. It wouldn't connect to the network. I couldn't get into the android market. It was taking forever to sync.

Needless to say, after replacing this phone and another separate trip for them to troubleshoot the phone (wasting my time when they knew exactly what was up), it still had the no audio problem exactly like before.

I knew I shouldn't have bothered with Motorola since the Razr. This crap is so poorly executed. Just look at where those ****** engineers decided to put the charging and hdmi port... on the left side of the phone. The side of the phone that is on the ground when the kickstand is up. How are you supposed to charge it when in kickstand mode? I guess you're not.

Derr. Derrrrr.. Derrrrrrrrrrr...

The kickstand works both ways.... just turn it over and plug in from the top.... dooh! :-)

But you should take it back and get an EVO 3D ... I'm sure it will be perfect for you... dooh! again, I forgot, it doesn't even have a kickstand. Nevermind. Sorry.

Okay, I just figured out that a software update is now available, which would have been nice to have been used in the first place. Since it came out before I purchased this phone.

Go into Settings >> About phone >> System updates >> Update Motorola Software

Here is a link to information about the update: http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles...RN_Blur_Version.45.2.5.MB855.Sprint.en.US.htm

Its a shame something so simple wasn't suggested to you by store personnel. There are exceptions but unfortunately those employees aren't quite the experts we, and they, would like to believe.
