Help Problem with MMS

Frood42

Lurker
Hi all, I am having a new issue with my Rezound. I've had the phone for a couple of months and recently it won't download MMS. My husband has a Rezound also, we got them at the same time, and his won't download them either. I'm using Handcent for sms/mms, but as I've used Handcent since I got the phone, I don't think that is the issue. It used to handle mms just fine, but now it will show the download button, but won't actually download the file! I've searched the forum and see this has been a problem on the HTC Eris, and I've tried several of the ideas from there, but to no avail. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas on how to fix it, it is extremely frustrating.

Try the stock app for text and see if that works I have had the same issue and I got rid of handcent. Sometimes updates cause the issue.

I am also having this very same issue...

Seems that it just started occurring after they updated the program..

I have sent a support email to Handcent... As this is the second time I have done this, I have yet to receive any answers.

I have received an email from support...

They suggest this...

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.

Could you pls check the settings:
launch handcent-- Settings-- Application settings-- Default Messaging application--Enable "ALL (SMS & MMS)"

Have a try, pls let me know if it can work or not.

DISABLE is the proper setting....

Just got another email...

Hi,

so... As I have made this change, I seem to get the MMS with zero issues now.

I stopped using Handcent long ago when I had this MMS issue on my DX. I started using GoSMS Pro and I have not had a problem since. If the fix they gave you worked, great. If not, try GoSMS Pro - my MMS messages are no longer an issue.

It appears that the fix (launch handcent-- Settings-- Application settings-- Default Messaging application--Enable "Disable") works...

I received MMS yesterday and it worked properly.

I forgot all about that. When I used it with my Eris I figured it out on my own, but with the Rezound I completely forgot to check that setting. I have forgotten a ton of things since I was new to Android.

Thanks for all the info. I did change my settings to disable, and so far so good! Hopefully this continues to work, Thanks again.
