I ran into this same problem. I never found a easier way to fix this problem. But once I rooted and installed a different Rom the Multi-Media folder isn't there any more so no more problem. Not that rooting is for everyone. I'm wondering though can you go to manage apps and clear cache on that folder. I doubt it but worth a look.
I will try the suggestions, although I expect I will have to wait for the next update and hope it is fixed. It is a shame that there is no way to report such faults to the programmers.
