Problem with my Contacts

I keep getting 2 error messages: The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly, and The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. I've also lost all of my contacts. Anyone have any advice?

Try the following: know as a " Safe Mode Reboot"

1.) Turn phone off ... remove battery for at least two minutes.
2.) While Holding menu key power ON... WAIT until all actions finish from Powering on phone ...
....... At the bottom left corner of the display in transparent text will be the words "Safe Mode"
3.) Power off phone again ... battery out ... wait two minutes
4.) Re-install battery and do a normal power on ...

Also visit Gmail on your PC and check to make sure your contacts are still listed there.

Tried the "safe mode reboot", but it didn't change anything, still have error messages and no contacts.

Any solutions on this Force Close Gmail issue?
