Help Problem with name list

My Nexus S is driving me crazy! It takes ages to display the caller name, also while searching to call or sms it takes its time as well.

It might be cause all contacts are on Google address book, is there a way to fix this? Can I back all contacts to phone memory instead to make it faster? How?

You can do this ,but it's not because of that ! The contacts one synced ,are written in the phone mem !
Try to delete the call log [too many entries have a bad effect] ,delete sms [if over 400-500] and last ,if the above do not work - factory reset
