Help Problem with play store not opening from another app

When I try to open a link from inside an app (say bakery story), it should open in the app store (play app store, to be specific). This doesn't happen. All of the links are opening in the browser, and when I clear the app prefs in settings, it still doesn't give me the option to open in the play store.


What can I do to fix this? It's really annoying, esp when games won't give credit for me installing something...

I already tried installing another launcher app, but to no avail.

If this is specific to certain apps only, then it has nothing to do with your preference setting. It's the developer who hard coded browser based URL to Google Play.

There are two ways to link to store from within an app, one will invoke the browser, another PLAY app:

http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=<package_name>

or

market://details?id=<package_name>

I suspect it's your app.

Did you try other app to compare, if this behavior is consistent throughout, or random?
If random, then your Bakery app is the culprit.
