Root Problem with Rooting - VISIONary does not load up after reboot

Hi everyone...first off let me say that I am a noob to Android software. I just got over a CrackBerry addiction and am glad to be using a much more powerful device.

So I just picked up my EVO Shift 2 days ago and just failed at attempting to root it. It's probably my fault - but I'm at a standstill and my phone is SLOW!

I followed Rooting an HTC EVO Shift for dummies...and got to step 6. When I try to go back into VISIONary it's not installed. If I reboot my phone reboots twice. If I try and reinstall the app it fails.

Any ideas how to unscrew my situation? I attempted to search for a fix but cannot find anything relevant.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Delete visionary off your memory card, reinstall visionary on your computer, move visionary file to SD card root, reinstall, temp root (dont restart phone), go back into visionary, click root on startup, turn phone off, turn on... continue with instructions...

Let me know if that works.

I got it deleted finally and I am up and running. I am going to give it another go right now and see if I can get it rooted.

I had the same issue and simply rebooted one time and it was back, and I continued on my way. But the guy who just answered wrote the thing so listen to him. lol
