problem with sending texts

Contract here. This is my type of luck. Was on virgin mobile for 3 and a half years, never had an issue with texts. "Upgrade" to verizon, one month later texts don't work :rolleyes:
 
You have the m8 did you try the other MMS/SMS app that came with the m8 . it ask you if you want hangout as your default . switch back . and make sure its up to date . .but you may need to contact Verizon they may need to make adjustments. I know they messed me over . had me on the wrong plan :eek::D the funny thing about it was no one ever called me but when I called them and pointed it out . I was given items to show how sorry they was . so give them a call and make sure your in the same way they told you. Another thing you can do would be turn on your WiFi on your device if you have one near you . if not put the device in airplane mode for about 25seconds and switch back on . and see if the text speed up.
 
Call to cs resolved our texting issues. The rep (from us, unlike virgin mobile) also mentioned airplane mode for 15 seconds as a possible fix. Also said htc is addressing an issue with slow texts in their next update, probably sometime this month.
 
Hmmmm I wasn't aware of that many friends have the m8 . no text is new they do have signal drops out while outside . glad to see you working and trust me watch out Verizon will change your account around and wont tell you ..

Take any information from a carrier CS rep with a grain of salt. Most likely this was a carrier issue and the rep just doesn't want you to call back in on the same issue because it hurts their stats.
