Help Problem with speech recognition

So I jsut bought this phone and I was playing around with speech recognition. The only prolblem I have seen so far is when I say Send text to [person in contacts] Hey whats up. It will always open up the send text but the "to: field" is empty and the message field says "to [person in my contacts] Hey whats up". Why is that? how can I fix it? thanks in advance

You would have to do it in two stages, I think. Firstly, you would do the send text to: [person] then once it went to the text field you would have to press the mic button (or whatever way you do it) to enter text into the main body of the message.... But I don't use it a whole lot, so that is just a guess....

I just did the above^ and it works exactly like it should.

I tried doing send text to (person in contacts) and it still went to the text pop up but put "to (person in contacts)" in the message field. I even tried just send text and it popped up the text thing but the cursor was on message not on the to field.

Vlingo, in the Market, is said to better at this, but I've not tried it personally - just putting that out there.
