Problem with the stock email app

A couple of times I've had a problem with the email app when trying to send an email. What happens is that the email goes directly to draft (Saving to draft) instead of being sent. It is not a connection problem. Rebooting the phone allows me to send emails from the draft folder but it is annoying.

The stock Email client list is... well, bleech. Including the issue that drafts are saved locally.
