Help Problem with the text message box

Hi all

I've recently bought a Galaxy S2 and I'm loving the phone other than one annoying bug I can't seem to rectify. Say, for example, I receive a long text message from a friend and I begin responding with a text with a smilar length, as my text message gets longer and longer it begins to obscure the text message I have received behind it. You can press the 'return' button to see a portion of the text I am replying to, but as the text message I am sending gets longer I cannot see any of the previous text because it becomes fully obscured by my new composed message.

It makes remembering the text I am replying to extremely difficult and annoying, and the only solution I can think of is to copy my new message and then delete all of the text to see the previous message behind it, and then re-paste in the new message. This is obviously not very practicable. Does anyone know of a solution to this? Whether it's something I'm doing wrong or maybe a text message app I can download which would rectify this problem?

Many thanks for your time.

Its a phone with limited screen space.... Still remember the phones where you didn't even have a chance to have a look at the previous sms?

Guess you have to leave with it unless there is an app that can show the two messages side by side in say landscape mode, and to make the keyboard smaller at the same time. (Keyboard can of course be minimize by pressing the back and then put up again when you tap on the messaging box).

Other than that, you probably have to get the galaxy tab to get the bigger screen.

Use some kind of notepad app like NoteEverything. Type your text in that, switching backwards and forwards between it and your SMS app to see the received text. When you're done, copy and paste from the notepad app into the SMS app and send it.

The same principle applies with those text boxes on websites and so on.
