Help Problem with transferring over Mp3s to Epic.

I went to copy(transfer) my mp3 to my Epic and some problems. Some showed up as assorted letters/numbers and they had no titles. They still played but they could not be sorted etc.... Thoughts? THANKS!

How do I check the file info. Also, if it matters it plays well on my LAPTOP.

You want to check the ID3 tags. I'm at work so I can't provide links or examples but a quick google search on how to edit them should help out.

If you can't find anything I'll get you more info when I get home.

ID3 tags are similar to a cover of a book. That is, with a book you have the actual pages of a book, but the cover tells you what the title is, who the author is, who the printing company is, etc. Likewise music, the equivalent to a book cover for a song is an ID3 tag.

ID3 tags are used to hold information as to the title of the song, the band, the album, the year, etc...

You can edit this on the computer or from your phone using mp3tagger - Android app on AppBrain


I'm GUESSING that this is what the problem is.

Thanks much for the advice. When I received your reply earlier, I actually checked the tags and some of my mp3s have "garble" on them. Deleted that stuff and was good to go. Just for what its worth, used double twist and works nicely. Thanks!
