Root problems adding account for sync on cm7 1.8

Newbie
so, I just installed cm7 1.8 on my TB, and I'll be damned if I cannot add my gmail account so i can access the market! I go to add account, and it prompts me for my username/password then the second screen has

domain/username for the first box
password for second box
server for third box

needless to say i've tried almost every combination possible, and i can't get it to add! what gives?

i guess i need a link to download gapps, i am searching high and low, and not finding any. but how do i flash gapps? i mean, i know if i flash cm7 it overtakes whatever i am flashing, wouldn't gapps do the same if i flashed them after i flashed cm7? haha.. i will get the hang of this one day..

link removed Download the latest version and flash in recovery...clear cache and dalvik...

Reboot and then you should be able to sign into google.
 
No problem. I flashed those this morning so I know they are good. After the flash you should be prompted to sign into google and you shouldn't need to add the account via settings
 
Hello! I just installed CM7 ( I am relatively new to installing roms) and I am having the same problem. What is flashgapps and how can i use to to resolve thiS? Thaanks

I have the same problem.
I put the gapps on the sd card, installed it but nothing happened...
what am I doing wrong?
