I'm having some on and off issues with SMS after the 4.1.1 update on my T-Mobile/Koodo Nexus S I9020A.
The first a lesser annoying problem is the phone hanging while typing.
It happens sporadically, and if I continue to tap the "keys" they show up even when typed during one of these hangs. It usually only lasts 2-4 seconds before returning to normal, but it happens often enough that after three days of having the update it's really getting on my nerves.
The second issue I'm having in SMS is the notification ringtone.
Before the update if someone sent me a text, I could click on the notification or chatlog window and the music would stop. After updating to 4.0.4 this no longer happens.
I have a 10 second mp3 file for notifications to make up for the low volume capability of my phone and the terribly weak vibration, and when I'm in a quiet spot, you can well imagine how irritating it can be to hear the song layered 8 times while receiving multiple texts over a short period of time.
The third problem is that the phone is now giving me warnings saying that SMS is sending a large amount of messages and making me click to Allow this, this does happen only after long text conversations, but it never did it before and my texting has not increased any significant amount.
After clicking to allow between 3-10 times it finally stops asking after every message.
If anyone can point me in the right direction to solve any of these problems I would be grateful. I
