Root Problems creeping in under Velocity 1.2?

I've noticed some problems starting to "creep" in under Velocity 1.2 lately. 3g service while strong appears to be cutting in and out - pages are not loading/timing out, downloads are soooo slow when they used to be fast. Some programs are starting to force close, even though they were or had been running fine for several months (most noticeably is weather bug it's beginning to be like maps was). It has started to randomly reboot every once in awhile but not often enough to pinpoint anything in particular. I've set my phone down on the table and had the screen come on (not the pattern screen but the main home screen) and it dial the number I had set up as a shortcut on that page (since deleted the shortcut to stop the random dialing). And I've had programs refuse to download from market because I didn't have enough memory according to them (50 megs not enough?) and market has been acting funny all by itself as well - Programs showing up and disappearing, and updates not downloading. I stopped some by clearing cache, clearing download cache, and clearing the dalvik cache. Is there a possible memory leak, or stuff that's not getting cleared causing this? Anyone else having these issues? It just seems odd that 3+ months without a hiccup and now it's throwing problems left and right... No I'm not overclocked currently (I've been able to go to 806 without problems but have cleared caches after going back to 600). I don't see how a nandroid restore or a complete re-install would work.

The only real problem I seem to have ever had so far is just with Facebook. Every time I sync my friends with my Contacts, if/when it actually decides to sync. Whenever I restart my phone it switches it back to Don't Sync. Is that just me?

I seem to develop stability issues whenever I switch to velocity 1.2
All seems good initially, load all of my apps, everything is good for a few weeks, and then it starts lagging incredibly, and freezing and rebooting. Not sure what causes it.
I actually get problems with velocity 1.1 but usually only if I start playing with too many apps I am not familiar with so that is self inflicted.

Because I keep having issues, I tend to make a nandroid right after I get everything setup, so it is like a fresh install but with all of my preferences and apps installed. This way I can go back to a working state without as much trouble.

I am trying stormdriod as well now to see if I have the same issues.

I've noticed this as well happening off and on. I can try one day and either my device isn't compatible or doesn't have enough memory, but go back the next day and it updates. This of course could mean that there are problems on the market end and not on our devices....

Okay now I seem to be having the same problem you all are. My phone randomly reboots itself for no apparent reason. And now suddenly apps that I download seem to magically disappear off of my phone, but oddly still show that they're installed in my Manage Applications list. It's so weird.

You should try reinstalling Facebook

lol, I've tried everything. It adds their profile to the contact but it doesn't want to add their picture or anything, it's very weird. And every time I restart my phone it switches the setting back to Don't Sync and it switches my ADW theme from ICS to default.

Not sure but today all of a sudden anything I try to update on market keeps saying there is insufficient space on the device (I have 21.7 in rom, 59 internal, and 3.71gigs on storage) I'm thinking it might just be this "new" market messing up somehow. When I check the my apps all those that were "tried" to update are now at the bottom in a list called not installed even though they are and they do run.

I also just noticed that when I go to recovery I get the old double stack velocity splash screen (old 1.1) and not the new 1.2 one. Just wondering if the splash screen is in recovery or elsewhere? When I reboot or power on I get the regular velocity 1.2 start up (which I love) just whenever I start recovery it shows the old velocity for a few seconds then starts recovery. I'm gonna try reflashing with the new amonra recovery (manually added that img file to the velocity 1.2 package) after doing a very complete wipe (I like to do the factory wipe three times with battery pulls just to be sure everything is cleared) and hopefully that will clear up my problems, I'm thinking maybe something didn't quite stick and that's whats causing our problems.....

In the mounts (in the recovery menu) I have the following listed:

Mount /system
Unmount /cache
Mount /data
Mount /sd-ext
Mount /sdcard

Is this correct? I haven't played with the mount settings and haven't played with them in either OI or root explorer. Just trying to figure out if these are the correct settings after starting velocity 1.2 or not.
