Problems ending a phone call

Oftentimes when I attempt to end a phone call the screen goes dark and I am not able to end a call. I have read other websites in which users have had similar issues. Will this issue be addressed and fixed soon in a firmware update?

Don't know if a fix is coming, but this answer explains what is going on, and has a number of other people (including me) with the same problem. Also, this thread on this forum.

i've had it happen a few times. if you slide the keypad out a bit it will light the screen and you can end the call. Not a solution, but at least it works.

It happened to me but it was because I had my hand over the proximity sensor.
