The file you're trying to flash, did it have a different title when you downloaded it?

"Most" files like kernels and roms are flashed from recovery.

Try going to the thread here:
[Kernel][Sense][HDMwIn]Evo 4g Freedom-v0.9 Kernel GB MR 2.6.35.10 - xda-developers

Follow the download link and redownload the agressive kernel, but don't change the name of the file.

Boot into recovery, make a nandroid backup, wipe the cache partition and the dalvik cache only. Choose install from sd, select the kernel file.

That should work. Let us know where you end up. :)

ok i downloaded the aressive freedom kernel godmode, and wiped cache/dalvik and it sucsessfully installed but when i go to turn on my wifi it says error?:confused

Have you flashed any other mods besides the kernel? MikG is super stable and the rom itself doesn't have any issues with wifi. I would probably try updating your profile and PRL, clear your cache and dalvik cache again. If you are still seeing issues after that, I would just fully wipe everything (except your sd card) and install the 3.0 final mikrom. It's linked in this forum. Starting fresh can help sometimes.

umm i cant update my prl because i didnt pay my bill but what about this mike 3.0? i dont see a link for that i might want to flash that would i still put agressive freedom on that?

oh man i thought that might have somthing to do with it so i downloaded universal and rewiped cache and dalvik cache and when i went to install it it said failed because file is (bad) i tryed getting it from a different source and it still failed, i really messed up here huh?

Try re-downloading it from the link in the ROM & Kernel download page.

Its probably the place you downloaded from the first time, but bad downloads are a part of life and are fairly common.

What recovery do you have?

If you have the same recovery that you got when you rooted your phone, you may want to switch to Amon-Ra.

Link for Amon-Ra:
PC36IMG_RA_2.3.zip

Rename that file to PC36IMG and place on root of your SD card. Boot into the bootloader (hboot) Select yes to update, select yes to reboot.
This will give you Amon-Ra recovery.
Boot into recovery and make a nandroid backup, be sure to include WIMAX. Place a copy this backup on your PC.
Try to flash the kernel with Amon-RA.

Let us know if this approach works. :)
