Problems/Issues/Bugs

With all of the hype and fanboyism of a phone that hasn't even been released yet, all we are hearing about is the positive. Not trying to be a downer, but just trying to be a realist. History repeats itself. A smartphone is glorified as being the "best" that will hit the market, and then when it is released, reality sets in and there are tons of threads about the issues it has or how folks are ready to jump to another device. Maybe i'm saying this because i saw how everything played out with the Motorola Droid 1 which was dubbed as the supposed "IPhone Killer" before it was even released. I'm excited for the Thunderbolt myself and have been a fan of HTC products ever since my wife got the Incredible and i have been stuck with my 4th refurb Motorola Hemorrhoid 1.

Let's use thread to discuss problems/bugs/issues with the phone once you have it in your hands.

Also, anyone thinking of waiting a couple of weeks or months before buying the Thunderbolt to see what corrections will be made past the release devices (of course there will be some :))? We all want to believe that what's coming out will be PERFECTION! But, let's remove the excitement shades for a second and look at this logically based on past experiences.

Discuss....

Waiting is what im going to do and see how things go since it is the first lte phone on verizon and was reported to be having issues which is what caused some of the delays.

Biggest problem is probably going to be battery life. I can almost bet money it's going to be terrible. The next issue which isn't really an issue is that besides Verizon's LTE support, the phone does not have any hardware in it that isn't already eclipsed by another phone. The phone isn't going to be any faster CPU/GPU wise than a Mytough 4G.

Early adopters are always the guinea pigs. If you buy the TB you are less a guinea pig for the phone than rather for the LTE network. The phone's hardware is nothing new except the LTE radio and HTC is quite good with having Sense bug free and stable.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure the two biggest complaints will be #1: Battery life and #2: Camera quality

Everything else will be great!

I agree with this also. The phone is just an up-to-date Evo. We are all just guinea pigs for Verizon's LTE. We may be the beta testers - ah, that's why it's still $29.99 for unlimited data. :p

While true, have you used a MT4G? It flies. It is not as fast as technologically possible, but for normal operation (i.e. not gaming and not compressing/encrypting files, etc), it should be just as fast as anyone will notice.
