Root Problems, RC29 please help!

I rooted my mytouch 3g for tmobile and then decided to unroot it because it kept giving me errors when loading custom roms. Anyway i installed RC29 and Ive been having problems connecting to the Google Servers on RC29 so i tried to update to 1.5 or even 1.6 but when i try to install 1.5 or 1.6 android the progress bar goes half way on checking and then gives me an error like "error on line 1......" etc, I am about ready to sell the phone because I cant figure out how to fix this problem, can anyone help? The phone is useless if you cant activate it ! I wish I never went rooting around

You actually managed to load RC29 on to a mytouch? That shouldn't even be possible. Digressing, find and flash a file called SAPPIMG.nbh. That will set you back to the original mytouch firmware, and you can motor on from there.
