Help problems receiving same welcome email numerous times

Hi

Yesterday I bought myself the nexus s and am very happy with it. Have used the iphone for the last few years so is taking a bit getting used to the differences but really I am enjoying the experience :)

Now my problem is that since I synced my google mail account up I have recieved the same 'welcome to nexus s' email 25 times and they are still coming. It seems to be when I reboot the device or when I go into the market place etc instantly I will receive the same damn message. I have tried registering my device just to see if it would stop them coming through but since im not in the US it wont let me as you have to put in a valid zip code and imei number (im guessing they are different over here as it came back as invalid).

If anyone is having the same difficulty or knows a way round this could they please let me know :)

Regards

Rob

We sent you this one-time welcome message because you recently purchased a Nexus S phone.

I've marked the emails as spam now so at least they are not coming through all the time like they did.

Rather than marking them as spam, you could create a filter to catch them.

As to why you keep getting them? I'm really not sure. It could be a glitch with Google's servers. I'm pretty sure the only time I've ever received an email like that was when I installed a ported Nexus One ROM onto my old HTC Hero. I didn't get an email when I switched to the Nexus S.

Contact Google support if you can. It's tough to find direct support links from Google though (I used to work for Google, so I know they hide the links on purpose). I'm not sure on Android tech support, but I know there is Gmail tech support. See if you can find your way to an Android tech support email address. Google usually hides them at the end of troubleshooting guides. If you can't find one, just go with Gmail support.

You also may be able to contact the Nexus support line at 888-486-3987, but you might be asked for an order number, which you won't have since the phones aren't sold through Google anymore.
