Root Problems rooting again on replacement tbolt

So I got another replacement tbolt from best buy for a dropped phone. Anyways, since it was my wife's phone, I decided to stop rooting them for her as she really didn't care/need root. Well, I stopped using the X last night when I bought her an iPhone, and I just don't like sense. And I love root! Well ran into a couple snags last night and this morning.

I downloaded revolutionary and the htcdrivers that the video description calls for, and I have such and imos kernal and cm7 ready to go. Installed drivers, set phone for debugging, and attempted to use revs. No go, just sits at waiting for device. Tried multiple times, reset phone, reset computer, reinstalled drivers, really downloaded revs. Nothing was working. Had to go to work, so had to call it and run. I also did the downgrade to the 05 version so that wasn't it either. If anyone can help me that would be awesome. Thank you in advance!

"waiting for device" means either usb debugging not checked,or a driver issue. some folks have had to use completely different PCs to get drivers to install, but you might start by disabling/uninstalling htc sync, and any other program that could interact with your phone.

find the phone in booted mode, and in fastboot in device manager, and manually update to the revolutionary drivers.

sorry i cant be of more help than that. :(
