Help problems since update 2.2

i did the update yesterday but since this morning i have been unable to connect to the internet either through wi-fi of my phone internet. non of my apps are automatically updating like the did. so tried a soft reset- no changed then tried a hard reset. once i did this my internet icon has come back on but now i cant get into my phone i just come up with a message saying
"the application settings(process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again then there is a button which says force close, if i press that the screen goes black with a few icons at the top but i then cant navigate anywhere
any suggestions?

well most 2.2 update problems are solved by a hard reset, so if yours isn't fixed, I suggest taking it back to your carrier or if unbranded, email HTC. hard reset it from the bootloader one more time just to make sure
