After many hours of frustration 
have finally worked out how to get my HTC Desire to sync with eWallet viewer.
After installing viewer on your phone, switch your phone to "disk drive" NOT "HTC Sync"
1- Connect your device to the PC with the cable
2- On your phone goto "Settings" - "Connect to PC" - "Default connection type"
3- Choose "Disk Drive"
4- Now you can go to the desktop eWallet and choose Add and ANDROID, and complete the sync setup.
