problems using the mobile network

okay, so i recently purchased the lg p500 and i cannot access the internet, i want to use the data packages provided by telstra, i have sufficient credit/data usage to use the net, but it wont connect and prompts me to add a wifi network, which i dont have, and there are no unlocked ones to use. i have data enabled in mobile network settings, ive attempted to put the apn information in, but it still wont allow access.. wtf is wrong with this thing? :mad:
 
problem was solved by taking it back to the shop, apparently this phone isn't compatible with telstra, despite being unlocked, telstra's frequency is 8500 and this phone needs 9000 to optimise signal, internet etc. everything is working great with my new provider ^_^
