Problems with Astro file manager

Hi there,
Last night while I was searching through my files in Astro, I received a message saying something about forcing a close?? Then it closed, and I haven't been able to open Astro since.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad tablet.
Please don't tell me I have to re-install the programme. I do not want to lose my files. There is an entire year's worth of readings in there. Can someone please help?

You'd have installed several file managers on your tablet and each of them would view your files.

Why should your files be deleted if you'd uninstall one of these file managers?

BTW, even if you've used Astro's .txt editor for creating .txt files, these files won't be deleted if you uninstall Astro.
