Problems with autosearch for contacts

Hello

I have a problem when I try to search for contacts in the search field. For example, if I write "E" to get a list over all contacts that starts with an "E" I get the message "No found" even if I know I have a lot of contacts starting with "E"

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android 4.0.4

I hope someone can help me to be less angry

Earlier, when I typed in letters to search for contacts on my sg2 I got suggestions for contacts from the phone. This options have now disappeared.

Hello Johnny. I'm wondering if you've added an app or widget that caused re-configuration of the contacts default settings. Or if you made a change and forgot about it. That sometimes happens.

Failing that, perhaps a cache clearing and reboot of the device could remedy the issue.

Thank you for a quick respons.

I think the problem started after an android update in may/june 2012. I have postponed to find a solution for a long time, but it irritates me too much now.

I have no clue how to configure it back to default.
